Proudly hailing from Melbourne, Australia, IMPRISONED are not settling for anything less than a full on ruthless hardcore assault with a clenched fist full of contempt on their latest release ‘Slave To Nothing’. This unrelenting 2 song 7″ is a follow up to their 10 track 12″ ‘Hard To Kill’, released in 2016. Recorded at Goatsound Studios (50 Lions, Blood Duster & Kromosom), the dark and anguished tone set in both music and lyrics is brought together in a crushing unity.
Having shared the stage with such bands as the now iconic Code Orange, Deez Nuts, Ill Natured and Brutality Will Prevail, IMPRISONED have aptly demonstrated that they too are capable of delivering a pounding barrage of sound, both on stage and in the studio. For fans of Gatecreeper, Harm’s Way, Black Breath and Hatebreed, they blend the darker elements of hardcore with the type of aggression and precision you would expect to hear from a band like Cannibal Corpse.
With a take no prisoners attitude, the band unapologetically states, “Slave To Nothing for us is about doing whatever we want and a big fuck you to anyone who says otherwise”. This release will be further established by live shows which will be announced in the near future.
‘Slave To Nothing’ will be released as limited gold / black splatter vinyl 7″ and digital via Isolation Rec. on June 22nd 2018.
