“Mortuous Through Wilderness” is an illustration by Marald Van Haasteren. Originally used as the cover of “Through Wilderness” the incredible album by Mortuous.
“The main inspiration/theme was the suggestion of Colin (guitar/vocals of Mortuous) to view the wilderness as ones mind & go for a more hallucinating/fever dream like image. The main figure is based on the “headless screaming” lyrics. I wanted to portray a figure trying to escape its world/mind, trying to fly away. A figure so desperate & in conflict with its mind that it beheaded itself to escape it, only to have the head conjoined with its roots & still growing out new entangled roots/trunks. I gave it wings to create a dramatic flow, movement but also to portray them as the main pathways that are “genetically” a mess/entangled & force every new trunk/idea to bend to their way & create even more chaos. Behind the figure is a second wilderness: a maze/labyrinth but this one is structured, constructed, forces you to follow a path to no where, e.g. society.”

Returns
The stock market is always changing. It's not completely managed by us, as we have multiple organizations, such as the factory and our storage. Stock levels can fluctuate at any given time. Be aware that it's possible that your order will be out of stock after you have placed the order.
Our policy lasts thirty days. If you don't receive your item within the 30 days period, we are unable to offer either a return or exchange.
To be eligible for a refund the item must be unused and in the same condition as when you received it in. It should also be in the original packaging.
